History of District

Dera Bugti is a district within the province of Balochistan, Pakistan. It is situated in a hill range, in a westward continuation of the Sulaim?n Range, pointing towards the Quetta node. The area these nomadic Bugtis inhabit is very barren. The discovery of natural gas deposits at S?i has brought new economic life to the area.

Administration

The district is administratively subdivided into three sub-divisions, these are

• Dera Bugti
• Phelawagh
• Sui (Balochistan)

Language

The language of the people in this district is known as '''Bugti Balochi''' which is widely spoken in Dera Bugti, Sui, Kahan, Kohlu, Jacobabad and Sibi.
