About District Courts, Khuzdar


The Sessions Court, Khuzdar started functioning on November 28, 1977. This Sessions Division consists of two districts i.e. Khuzdar and Awaran. Khuzdar covers an area of 43261 square kilometers and has four Tehsils, six sub Tehsils, seven police stations and eight levies stations.

Whereas Awaran District has three Tehsils, two police stations and three levies stations. The Area of Awaran covers 21630 square kilometers. According to the 1998 census, the population of both these districts is 564000 and 18173, respectively.

The present court building was constructed in 1995 and the inauguration ceremony was held on October 26, 1995. The second floor was constructed separately and inaugurated on May 26, 2004. There are 39 rooms altogether including seven court rooms, eight chambers, a bar room, judicial lockups, and a canteen. The courts of the District & Sessions Judge, Additional District & Sessions Judge, and Judicial Magistrate, court of Members Majlis-e-Shoora, court of Qazi Jhalawan, Family Judge Court and Anti-Terrorism court are situated in the present building.
