Gardenning at Dera Murad Jamali
Dera Murad Jamali
February 9, 2012
I would like to thank Mr. Rozi Khan Barrech, District and Sessions judge, for his hospitality and warm welcome.
Immediately on arrival, we had a comprehensive discussion on the existing garden and infra structure in the court. We went on to discuss steps to be taken to improve the lawn and garden at the court. The District and Sessions court is supplied with water from a canal. The amount of water available is more than adequate to support a beautiful garden.
We later visited the court gardens and reached a consensus on a range of possible plants which would flourish in the designated areas:
As the area to be covered is huge an estimate of 300 plants would be required:
- Different varieties of orange plants (quantity 200)
- lemon plants (quantity 100)
- Guava trees (20 plants)
- Bougainvillea creepers
- Flowering bushes
- Conocarpus
I would also like to take this opportunity to also thank the officers of the Forest Department for their immense support during our visit. The Forest Department issued 200 plants to Dera Murad Jamali District and Sessions Court. Planted issued were:
- Bougainvillea (quantity 60 plants)
- Flowering bushes - Nerium (quantity 40)
- Conocarpus (100 plants)
Conclusion
The court premises in D. M. Jamali are well designed and already full of ornamental plants and some fruit trees. What is required though, is a systematic approach to the planting of winter and summer flowers to keep the premises looking beautiful at all times.
