About District Courts, Loralai
The Sessions Division Loralai was created in 1986, and started functioning at the Sessions Court in Quetta. On September 17, 1986, the Presiding Officer/District & Sessions Judge commenced to hold Court sittings at Loralai for one week every month. Thereafter from November 8, 1989, the Presiding Officers started to hold Court functions on a permanent basis at Loralai.
In 1986 the Sessions Division comprised of the Revenue Districts of Loralai, Zhob, Killa Saifullah, Barkhan and Musakhail.
In 1995, the Additional District & Sessions Judge Zhob was posted; hence the cases pertaining to district Zhob were transferred to Zhob. However on July 1, 1997 District Zhob was declared to be a separate Sessions Division.
On the 20th of April, 2000, the Sessions Division, Musakhail was created, hence, cases pertaining to district Musakhail were heard by the learned District and Sessions Judge, Musakhail at Loralai.
In March 2005, the Court of Additional District & Session Judge Barkhan at Rakni was created and started functioning at Rakni. Thus, the trial of cases pertaining to District Barkhan was being heard at Rakni.
On the 4th of April, 2008 the Additional District & Sessions Judge, Killa Saifullah was posted, and cases relating to the jurisdiction of District Killa Saifullah were transferred for trial to the said forum at Killa Saifullah.
The Sessions Division Loralai has two courts of Majlis-e-Shoora i.e. for Loralai and Barkhan Districts. The court of Majlis-e-Shoora Loralai was decided in 1986. This comprised of the Districts of Loralai, Killa Saifullah, including Tehsil Sinjavi. The Court of Majlis-e-Shoora Barkhan at Loralai comprises of the Barkhan District.
The court of Senior Civil Judge Loralai also functions in Loralai Sessions Division, which was created at first for a Civil Judge, but subsequently in the year 2004, it was upgraded to the status of Senior Civil Judge, Loralai. However, the record indicates that the Court of Civil Judge at Loralai was created even prior to the creation of Pakistan. A court of Civil Judge is also functioning in Tehsil Duki, which was created in the year 2007.
The Sessions Division Loralai comprises of four courts of Qazis i.e. Tehsil Bori/Sinjavi at Loralai, Tehsil Killa Saifullah, Tehsil Muslim Bagh and Tehsil Barkhan, which were created in the year 1978.
The Sessions Division Loralai has six sub-ordinate courts of Judicial Magistrates, which have their respective jurisdiction in Tehsil Bori, Tehsil Sinjavi, Tehsil Duki, Tehsil Killa Saifullah, Tehsil Muslim Bagh and Tehsil Barkhan. Here are some details:
