About District Courts, Musakhail
The Sessions Division, Musakhail was created on the 10th of April 2000. Ever since its inception the Presiding Officers of the District and Sessions Court, Musakhail function at Loralai in the District and Sessions Court Loralai, since no court rooms were available at Musakhail.
Since 1978 the court of Qazi of Musakhail, and since 2001 the court of Judicial Magistrate of Musakhail have functioned at Musakhail in a government building.
To establish a proper court complex at Musakhail, land measuring 6 acres for the construction of the District and Sessions Court complex at Musakhail was acquired under the auspices of the 'Access to Justice Program' in the year 2006 at the cost of Rs. 12, 00,000/-, which is located adjacent to the District Administration Complex Musakhail, while the construction cost was estimated to be Rs.31.50 million. The construction of the complex has been tentatively completed.
The Sessions Division, Musakhail comprises of a court of Majlis-e-Shoora which consists of a chairman of Majlis-e-Shoora and member Majlis-e-Shoora. The chairman of the Majlis-e-Shoora is the District Judge, Musakhail.
The Sessions Division Musakhail also has a sub-ordinate court of Qazi, Musakhail which has the jurisdiction of civil disputes valuing up to Rs.50, 000/- which was created in the year 1978 and function in a Government building acquired from the Agriculture Department.
The Sessions Division Musakhail has three (03) sub-ordinate Courts of Judicial Magistrates i.e. at Tehsil Musakhail, Tehsil Drug and Tehsil Kingri. The Court of Judicial Magistrate Musakhail was created in October 2001, the Court of Judicial Magistrate Drug was created in March 2009, and the Court of Judicial Magistrate Kingri, was created in October, 2010.
The Judicial Magistrate Musakhail has also has been empowered by the honourable High Court of Balochistan to entertain civil cases, falling within the jurisdiction of Civil Judge, Musakhail.
The Sessions Court Complex at Musakhail is now complete and ready to be made functional, as such with the shifting of staff and Judicial Officers, the Court will commence functioning shortly.
