The fundamental principle behind the existence of a sound judicial system is to ensure dispensation of justice at the earliest opportunity. With the help of information technology, the process of dispensation of justice can be made easier, fast, less expensive involving lesser manual labour.
Inadequate administrative and logistic support systems for the courts with a huge work load, brings the administration of justice to a halt.
The large number of vacancies of judicial officers in courts further aggravates the problems. The judiciary in Pakistan is caught in a vicious cycle of delays and backlogs. The effectiveness of a judicial system is measured by its capacity to provide a timely and apposite justice to the parties involved.
We can trust that information technology will surely find a solution to get rid of the scourge of delays in the courts. The speed and accuracy of disposal of cases is bound to radically change the future of civilization and will give Pakistan a legal system in conformity with global norms.
