Prior to 1995, there were no courts in Session Division Pishin, and this area was attached to Quetta District and was known as Quetta-Pishin District. All cases were heard in Quetta. On the 15th of March, 1995 for the very first time, an Additional District and Sessions Judge was appointed at Pishin to conduct cases regarding Pishin District. This court was first housed in a temporary location, which was borrowed short term from the revenue department. Simultaneously a foundation stone for the future court building was placed, and work commenced. This building was designed with two staff rooms for officials, a library, a bar room, a room for the District Public Prosecutor Office and a judicial lock up.

Eventually, the one Additional District and Sessions Judge appeared to be insufficient to cope with the workload and so there was a need to expand. In 1996, the strength of the court was increased to include a District and Sessions Judge, Court of Senior Civil Judge and a court for a Judicial Magistrate was added. In March 2007, a Judicial Magistrate, Khanozai, Barshore and a Family Judge, Pishin was added to the strength of the court. Trial of cases from both districts was conducted in Pishin.

As the distances were so great, there was also a need to increase the numbers of courts in the Killa Abdullah District. This district also consists of two areas, area "A" and area "B". This exists for the organization of the executive and judicial administration and consists of four Tehsils, which are listed below:

    (i) Tehsil Chaman

  • Police Station, Chaman
  • (ii) Tehsil Dobandi

  • (iii) Tehsil Killa Abdullah

  • Levies Station, Killa Abdullah
  • Police Station, Killa Abdullah
  • (iv) Tehsil Gulistan

  • Levies Station, Gulistan
  • Police Station, Gulistan
  • On the 29th of May, 1997 a Judicial Magistrate, Chaman was appointed at Chaman. Subsequently, on the 17th of April 2000, a new court with a Judicial Magistrate, Killa Abdullah, also started to conduct cases in the area of Killa Abdullah and Gulistan. The demand for trials at the Sessions level increased, and so on the 29th of April, 2008, an Additional District and Sessions Judge, Killa Abdullah at Chaman was appointed. There are two court complexes under construction in District Pishin and District Chaman.

A Judicial Magistrate-III was required to control the backlog of cases to reduce pendency and so in May 2013, a court of Judicial Magistrate-III Pishin was also established to conduct cases as per requirements of the area.
