About District Courts, Turbat


The Sessions Division Mekran at Turbat was first established in 1986. At that time, it comprised of three Districts i.e. District Kech, District Panjgoor and District Gawadar. Later, separate Sessions Divisions for District Panjgoor and District Gawadar were established. Now the Sessions Division, Mekran at Turbat comprises of only one District i.e. District Kech.

The construction of the present Sessions Court building was completed in 1994, and was inaugurated on the 9th of September 1994. Prior to this the court functioned in an old building belonging to the local government department.

In the present court complex, the courts of District and Sessions Judge, Mekran at Turbat, Additional District and Sessions Judge Turbat, Majlis-e-Shoora Turbat and Judicial Magistrate Turbat are functioning.

This building consists of two court rooms, two chambers, record room and five staff rooms. The Bar room is also situated in the same premises. The courts of Qazi of Turbat, Additional Qazi of Turbat and Family Judge, Turbat function in a separate building. It consists of one court room, one chamber and one staff room for the Qazi of Turbat.

The Court of Qazi Tump and Judicial Magistrate Tump, function at Tump in the court building of the Qazi Tump. This consists of one court room, one chamber and one staff room.

The court of Qazi Dasht functions at Dasht Khuddan in a room provided by the local administration.
