About District Courts, Kharan

Prior to 1997, only a Qazi Court existed in the District.
In 1997, a joint Sessions Division for District Chagai and Kharan was established.
The Sessions Division, Kharan was established in 1998 and started functioning.

A Sessions Court was initially established in the present day premises of the Qazi Court. A building complex for a Sessions Court commenced on the 28th of November, 1998. It covers an area of 7929square feet. The court was inaugurated on the 27th of March, 2004.

The Sessions Court Building, Kharan is situated in front of Quetta-Kharan road. Presently the Sessions Court complex Kharan consists of three courts i.e. Court of Sessions Judge, Kharan, Court of Member Majlis-e-Shoora, Kharan and Judicial Magistrate, Kharan. However, District Washuk and its Tehsils Basima and Mashkail are also included in Sessions Division Kharan, wherein the courts of Judicial Magistrates and Qazis are functioning.
