Message by District and Sessions Judge Quetta

Our nation's court system has been affected in recent years by developments that have necessitated a change in the way we conduct court proceedings due to high-profile crimes. For example, domestic violence is attracting increased public interest in court activities. This public attention has resulted in legislation that mandates increased and automated disposition reporting to district and High Court repositories. The heavy number of cases requires that courts have access to a range of information sources not necessary or available in the past.

Information system automation and integration will improve decision making throughout the justice system via enhanced data quality, better communication between justice agencies, stakeholders and expanded capabilities that result from the increasing amount of data available.

Although information technology provides useful tools for responding to these increased demands, it brings a new set of responsibilities for the judiciary. The updating of information is a prerequisite for the success of the website. We will endeavor to fulfill this responsibility to the best of our ability.

Finally, the launching of a new website which incorporates all the districts in Balochistan is a great achievement. It will minimize the difficulties and problems faced by litigants facilitating justice by enabling both Bench and Bar to achieve the goal of expeditious disposal of cases and smooth administration of justice.

Availing of this opportunity, I would like to thank the honourable Chief Justice and the honourable Judges of the High Court of Balochistan, Quetta for their encouragement and support in embarking upon this goal.

District & Sessions Judge,
