Inspection tour 2013

With a view to streamline the administration of justice in the remote areas of Balochistan the Chief Justice of Balochistan initiated an inspection tour in two phases.

The first phase included the inspection of courts in Sui. The second phase included the inspection of courts in Rakhni, Barkhan, Kohlu, Kingri, Musa Khail, Loralai and Killa Saifulla.

On the 7th of February 2013, the Honourable Chief Justice visited the court of the Judicial Magistrate Sui. Discussions centred on the basic infrastructure of the court and the ancillary buildings, staffing, jurisdiction and the potential of creating a more welcoming environment. Thereafter, the Chief Justice proceeded to plant a sapling in the court premises and then went on to inspect the land designated to build residences for judicial officers.

The Chief Justice then paid a visit to the PPL gas plant and was briefed on different aspects of the running of the said plant. This ended the first phase of the tour.

Travelling via Fort Munro the Honourable Chief Justice visited Rakni on the 14th of February, 2013. The Honourable Chief Justice first met the Additional District and Sessions Judge Rakni, and thereafter visited with members of the Bar including Shafiq Khetran Advocate, Shair Jan Khetran Advocate, Shabir Advocate, Fida Hussain Advocate. Discussions focussed on the available infra structure, law and order situation, winter vacations, empowerment of judicial magistrates and the possibility of setting up a library.

Inspection tour 2013

At 9:45 am, the Honourable Chief Justice arrived at Barkhan. He inspected the construction site of the future courts at Barkhan. Discussion centred on the construction site, the boundary wall and the importance of early completion. The Honourable Chief Justice planted a sapling in the court premises inaugurating the plantation in the district.

At 12 o’clock the Honourable Chief Justice visited with the District and Sessions Judge and the Judicial Magistrate Kohlu. Discussions focussed on the pending and the expeditious disposal of cases, the law and order situation, and jurisdiction. During his visit the Honourable Chief Justice also met with Attaullah Marri Advocate, Ali Shair Advocate, and Jamil Khajjak Advocate of District Bar Kohlu as well as some notables of the district.

The Honourable Chief Justice planted a sapling and inaugurated the planting of innumerable trees in the court premises.

On the 15th of February the Honourable Chief Justice visited the residential area/premises for judicial officers under construction in Kingri and made recommendations.

On route he noted vehicles without number plates and wall chalking and directed the district administration to play a more proactive role in dealing with those who violate the law.

On the same day at 12:30p.m., the Honourable Chief Justice reached Musa Khail. He inspected the court of Judicial Magistrate and the under construction judicial complex and thereafter met with advocates.

Inspection tour 2013

The Honourable Chief Justice planted a sapling and inaugurated the planting of innumerable trees in the court premises.

Upon the written complaint of a local, the honourable Chief Justice also visited and inspected the DHQ hospital.

On February 16th, 2013, the Honourable Chief Justice inspected the Sessions Division courts. Discussions focussed on the disposal of cases. The honourable Chief Justice also met with the District Bar Association headed by Mr. Jehangir Zamarai Advocate.

The Honourable Chief Justice arrived at Killa Saifullah at 2:00 p.m. and inspected the allotted land for the construction of the new judicial complex. The Honourable Chief Justice planted a tree in the court premises.

Thereafter, the Honourable Chief Justice returned to Quetta.
