Security
The courts are invariably situated in a centralized location, where they are easily accessible to the public. As a result they are more vulnerable to possible acts of violence.
Courts need to have proper security measures in place to protect the safety of the people visiting the courts as well as those that work there, and to protect the integrity of the judicial process.
This involves security personnel, technology and certain architectural features. Cognizant of this fact, constructive steps to ensure the safety of all those in the High Court, Katcheri and District and Sessions court in Quetta, were taken to achieve this goal in August 2012.
An agile security force also patrols the perimeter and may be called upon at any time if suspicious persons or vehicles approach. Please note, the police force at the courts have been trained to respond to any threat which may exist.
