Oath-Taking Ceremony of Additional Judges of the High Court of Balochistan

With the appointment of Mr. Shakil Ahmad, Mr. Muhammad Ejaz Swati, and Mr. Muhammad Kamran Mulakhail the High Court of Balochistan has attained its prescribed strength of 10 Judges and a Chief Justice. This is a historic milestone for the High Court of Balochistan.

Appointments to the other tiers of the judiciary have already been made through a merit based transparent process. The vacant posts of 28 Civil Judges cum Judicial Magistrates, 11 Qazis, and 13 Additional District Judges were filled. Cases of pending promotion of Judicial Officers were also finalized. There is now access to justice throughout Balochistan.

Its 20 Sessions Divisions cover the 32 Administrative Districts in Balochistan. The total strength of Judicial Officers now in Balochistan is 199, amongst them are 20 District and Sessions Judges, 32 Additional District and Sessions Judges, 6 Special Judges of Anti Terrorism Courts, 9 Senior Civil Judges, 87 Civil Judges/Judicial Magistrates, 10 Members of Majlis-e-Shoora, 28 Qazis, and 7 Family Judges.
